Welcome to Wingello Rural Fire Brigade's website.

Our aim in establishing our website is simple. It is a tremendous medium to quickly present timely and factual information in regard to local, and sometimes not so local, fire activity information and to bring to not only our local residents but visitors alike the very necessary FireWise message.

The predicted weather pattern continues with a mix of rain and cooler than normal temperatures. The rain has given us a rather benign fire season so far but that could change in the new year with the potential for grass fires as a result of the tremendous growth in pasture lands.

Throughout the year the brigade has received its classification under a new system introduced by the RFS. Wingello is now a 'Village 2' brigade. We have also been equipped with CABA (Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus) with six of our members being trained in its use. With the CABA and other equipment acquired by the brigade Wingello RFB is well placed to provide an efficient emergency service to our local and surrounding community.
